Media Query Extensions Is The Tool Out Of The Flutter Canonical Layout Mess
With changes in Material Design 3, we are now supposed to use Canonical Layouts by default on everything but, still nothing in the SDK to make that happen. MediaQueryExtensions to the rescue.
With the recent Material Design 3 changes in that support of big screens and foldables is through Canonical Layouts, Canonical Layouts is now the default way to make apps responsive coupled with an animated adaptive scaffold. And surprise, neither is in the Flutter SDK nor in the damn Flutter samples.
What is needed to work with the tasks of creating the animated adaptive scaffold and the canonical layouts of the app is a good set of MediaQuery extensions. This is where code and design meld together, as we have this design challenge as far as being responsive and not having the right tools in the Flutter SDK to make it happen.
